Vincent Kompany, the Belgium and Manchester City captain has expressed his readiness to welcome new players.
When asked if there were disgruntled players in the squad following the player’s inclusion in the squad, the Belgium captain said: “Everyone is, first of all, happy to be in the selection.”
19-year old Adnan Januzaj has been drafted straight into Belgium squad for Brazil after declaring his allegiance to the country. The player is eligible to play for a host of country but only recently opted to play for his country of birth. Striker Kevin Mirallas recently express his happiness that the player has opted to play for Belgium but unfair to other player if he is included in the World Cup squad having not played any part in the Qualifier.
Following the controversial inclusion of Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj into the Belgium squad for the FIFA World Cup, Kompany has expressed happiness at the coach’s decision to include hi in the squad.
“Then ultimately it is the manager’s job to make a decision and I think we are all quite happy to just leave it to the manager and trust him for the decisions he makes. We have great players in the team so hopefully for the World Cup we will have a great performance as well. We are just always happy to welcome new players, always.”
