The prolific German striker Miroslav Klose could become the record scorer if he eventually makes it to the world cup in the summer in Brazil.
Klose wil have the the opportunity to appear in his fourth finals after being included in Germany’s provisional 30-man squad.
At 35 years, The German needs only 2 more goals to surpass the record of another legend of the world cup Ronaldo who has the record.
This certainly looks like his last world cup but the German Machine will need his valuable experience at the world cup as he always comes up with the goods at the world cup.
Klose has scored a total of 14 goals at the world cup, he scored 5 goals in his maiden appearance in Korea and Japan and another 5 in his home land Germany in 2006 and scored 4 times in South Africa in 2010.
Now plying his trade in Italy with Lazio The German shares the record presently with compatriot Gerd Muller and incidentally are joint top scorer for Germany with 68goals.
Although, Klose is at the tail end of his career but his experience at the world cup and for Germany cant not be underestimated and the odds favors him to set a new record in Brazil especially with Germany expected to go far in he competition.
He was top scorer on home soil in Germany 8 years ago scopping home the Golden boot after scoring 5 goals and has a total of 68 goals in 131 caps for his country.
Undoubtedly, Klose is already a world cup legend but he has the golden chance to make the title of the highest scorer of all time all to his name and perhaps the final chance to lift the world cup after coming close twice.
