Popular comedian Ekene Clinton Egbuna, widely known as Klintoncod, has taken aim at Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, accusing him of deceiving his followers with so-called miracle products.
In a video shared on Instagram, Klintoncod criticized the pastor, calling him a disgrace to Christianity. He argued that if proper laws were in place, the preacher would be behind bars or confined to a mental institution.
The comedian went further, questioning the authenticity of Prophet Fufeyin’s spiritual claims and likening his activities to that of a scam artist. He expressed disappointment over how the preacher’s behavior has led many to lose faith in the church. Klintoncod also blamed the followers for being too naive, questioning how they could take the self-proclaimed prophet seriously.
“Are we going to continue pretending that this man, Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, is not a nuisance to Christianity? Right now as I speak to you he is probably defrauding a lot of stupid people. This guy calls himself a man of God but I don’t think he is. I don’t think there is a difference between him and someone who has ended up in jail for fraud.
“This guy goes around selling items, telling people if you buy whatever items he sells God will work miracles for you. Now he went and packaged sand in a nylon, sealed it and put his face on it, now he said if you buy this sand God will help you build a house and a whole bunch of stupid people are attending his church listening to him when he is speaking they will be standing up calling him ‘Papa’.
“Tinubu or APC is not our problem, Nigerians are actually very stupid. This guy is part of the reason some people stopped going to church. If it was in a sane society this guy would be in jail or in a mental institution,” he said.
