Popular Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has stirred conversations after revealing that he still lives modestly despite his massive success in the music scene.
The ‘Buga’ hitmaker made the unexpected statement during an interaction with fans on social media, where he addressed the often-misunderstood link between money and happiness. It all started with a thought-provoking post in which he questioned why happiness tends to disappear when wealth arrives.
“Why is it that happiness fades when money comes?” he asked, highlighting the emotional emptiness that can accompany financial success. He also pointed out that many wealthy individuals still struggle with sadness despite their riches.
His comment sparked various responses, including one from a social media user who accused him of being two-faced — claiming money doesn’t bring happiness, yet still pursuing it. Kizz Daniel responded by clarifying that he no longer chases money — instead, money now comes to him.
“Lol… I still live like I’m broke. It’s money that runs after me now,” he replied.
He further explained that while he isn’t advising people to stop working hard for success, it’s important to realize that wealth doesn’t automatically mean joy.
“I’m not saying don’t hustle for money. I’m just saying that money brings its own set of problems. People who have it won’t tell you the truth because they want to feel superior.”
