According to recent online reports Kim Kardashian West’s bodyguard filed for bankruptcy for his German security company ten weeks ago with debts of more than €1 million, according to documents obtained by MailOnline.
Pascal Duvier, 43, has been a familiar face at Mrs West’s side for many months.
He was with her in Paris when she visited the city for Fashion Week. But in the early hours of Monday, when she was robbed of her jewellery in an £8.5million heist at her rental apartment, he was across town – protecting Kim’s sisters Kendall and Kourtney, who were at a nightclub.
There is no suggestion Mr Duvier was involved in the robbery.
But MailOnline found documents showing that his Eppelheim-based security firm filed for insolvency on July 22, with debts totalling €1,093,518 (£961,296).
The insolvency lawyer on the case told MailOnline: “There is so much debt. There are many claimants. I cannot say the exact number. Lots.”
Mrs West, 35, has reportedly told friends that she does not blame him for the crime. “Kim is not blaming Pascal. She felt completely safe at the Paris apartment and doesn’t believe this is his fault in any way,” a friend told Us magazine.
