Kim Jong Un’s teenage daughter has drawn global attention after appearing in newly released state media images driving a military tank, sparking fresh speculation about her possible future in leadership.
The young girl, widely believed to be Kim Ju Ae and estimated to be around 13 years old, was seen alongside her father during a military exercise in Pyongyang.
In the photos, she is captured peering out from the tank’s driver hatch with a serious expression, while Kim Jong Un stood nearby, smiling as the drill unfolded.
Her public appearances with her father have become more frequent in recent months, including earlier instances where she was spotted at a firing range handling weapons.
Although North Korea has not officially confirmed her identity or age, experts believe her increasing visibility may signal preparations for a potential leadership role in the future.
The latest outing took place during a military drill showcasing a new type of tank, which state media claimed has enhanced offensive and defensive features, particularly against drones and anti-tank systems.
In recent years, Kim Jong Un has intensified efforts to modernise North Korea’s military, developing both conventional weapons and advanced strategic capabilities such as long-range ballistic missiles and nuclear arms.
