Latest report says kidnappers of the mother of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo Iweala have made contact with the family, demanding for a ransom of N1billion failure of which they threatened to kill their victim.
Iweala’s mother was kidnapped on Sunday from the palace of the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-uku,  Obi (Prof.) Chukwuka Okonjo.

Mrs.Kanene Okonjo, 82 years old, the queen mother of Ogwashi uku was abducted at about 2pm by a gang of armed men who seized her at the gate of the palace at Ogbe-ofu and took her away. The husband was said to have travelled out of town.
