Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi says his players lost to Mali in the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) because they did not play to instruction.
Keshi revealed after the game which his boys lost 2-1 to the Eagles of Mali that apart from inexperience, the players were anxious to impress and made so many mistakes especially in the first half.
“We did not play according to our game plan. They were in a hurry and paid dearly for it. I know the players can do better than what they put up against Mali.
“We started playing very well towards the end of the match and at that time, there was nothing we could again.
“All hopes are not lost. We hope to improve in the next game against Mozambique,” said Keshi.
