During a recent visit to a hotel on the day of President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration, renowned Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq came under fire.
When the comedian discovered that Muhammadu Buhari’s photo was still prominently placed on the hotel’s welcome wall, his visit took an unexpected turn.
Initially planning to get a room at the hotel, Kenny Blaq was surprised to see the previous president’s portrait there.
expressing his dismay and surprise.
He said;
“Na Buhari still be president for here oh, ahn ahn.. we can’t afford it.”
His comment alluded to the fact that the hotel’s failure to replace the portrait with that of President Tinubu suggested a lack of readiness for the new era.
In a video capturing the incident, the receptionist and another staff member can be seen and heard attempting to assuage Kenny Blaq’s concerns.
They apologized for the oversight and assured him that they were in the process of replacing the portrait with one of President Tinubu.
Pleading with the comedian not to leave, they promised to rectify the situation immediately.
