The Twitter account of famous American singer and fashion designer Kanye Omari West, also known as Kanye West or Ye, has been restored nearly three weeks after it was locked due to antisemitic posts and comments.
Confirming the news on Sunday night, the singer wrote on Twitter, “Testing Testing, Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”
Musk responded positively to this, writing in Ye’s comment section, “Don’t kill what you hate, save what you love.”
This comes just 24 hours after Elon Musk, the new Twitter owner and CEO, reinstated former US President Donald Trump, who was suspended in January 2021, immediately after the Capitol riot, for violating the social media platform and risking further incitement of violence.
Kanye West agreed to buy the libertarian-leaning social network Parler last month.
The announcement came just days after Kanye’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were temporarily locked due to a string of anti-Semitic posts.
