Nigeria has recorded its highest number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in one day with 204 new cases announced on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
Kano recorded the highest number of cases with 80, according to an announcement made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
45 news cases were also reported in Lagos, Gombe recorded 12 cases, while Bauch and Sokoto recorded 9 each.
Borno and Edo with 7 cases each. 6 in Rivers and Ogun, 4 in FCT, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa
3 in Kaduna, 2 in Oyo, Delta and Nasarawa
Ondo and Kebbi recorded lowest with 1 case each
The total deaths as of Thursday is 58.
319 people have recovered and been discharged since Nigeria’s index case was announced in February.
