The alleged mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing of St Theresa’s Church, Madalla, Kabiru Sokoto, has reportedly been recaptured.
Sokoto was arrested on the 14th of January at Borno state government lodge in Abuja and escaped in dramatic circumstances on January 15. His escape led , to the resignation of the former IG of Police Hafiz Ringim, and Commissioner of Police Zakari Biu who was in charge of the operation that led to Sokoto’s escape suspended and is currently under investigation.
The police is yet to make an official announcement concerning his arrest. But details would be posted as soon as we get hold of it.
