The 33-year-old won the Top 200 Album award at the Billboard Music Awards for his 20/20 Experience, beating out Beyonce and Drake for the honour.
But that wasn’t the only gong the crooner won that night, garnering a total of seven honours for his comeback album.
Accepting it from on tour, he said through live video chat: ‘I’m shocked. I’m stunned. I’m really surprised.’
Adding: ‘We don’t even wanna say “thank you”. We wanna sing “thank you”.’ The star then belted out his gratitude with the aid of some back up singers.
