Pop icon Justin Bieber has strongly denied recent claims suggesting he’s facing financial hardship. In a statement released by his team on Wednesday, the 31-year-old singer slammed the reports as “clickbait stupidity,” accusing the sources of being disgruntled former associates.
The statement was issued in response to an article by The Hollywood Reporter, where an ex-member of Bieber’s team alleged that the singer was millions of dollars in debt.
Bieber’s team, however, dismissed the claims, stating to Us Weekly:
“This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed – and clearly ill-informed – ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.”
The statement continued, emphasizing Bieber’s focus on moving forward:
“As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
These rumors surface amidst the cancellation of Bieber’s Justice World Tour, which faced repeated delays due to his health struggles. Originally set to launch in 2020, the tour was first postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and then again in 2022 following Bieber’s diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome—a condition that led to partial facial paralysis. In March 2023, the remaining tour dates were officially called off.
