An angry mob has set ablaze three suspected thieves who have been terrorizing residents of Uruk Using in Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Three suspected robbers have died a painful death after being burnt to death in Uruk Usung in Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

It was gathered that the thieves have been terrorising residents of the area before they were caught and killed by an angry mob. The deceased believed to be in their late 20s were arrested after an operation and set ablaze the mob.

The issue of jungle justice seems to be on the rise in Akwa Ibom state following a series of killings of criminal suspects by the mob. It was earlier reported that a young man in his early 30s was burnt to death by youths at Urua Ekpa Junction, Uyo, while allegedly trying to escape with a stolen motorcycle.

It was gathered that the unidentified victim was a serial motorcycle thief, terrorising the area. An eyewitness and resident said that the motorcycle thief confessed to having come from Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area before he was burnt to death.

Inyang, who is a commercial tricycle operator, claimed the victim had succeeded in stealing several motorcycles around the junction until Tuesday when luck ran out on him.
