The last case filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) challenging the election of Seyi Makinde as governor of Oyo was dismissed by the Election case Tribunal sitting in Ibadan.
The second and third respondents each received a N1 million cost award from the tribunal.
The verdict and fee was supported by all three Tribunal members, who said it would act as a deterrent to politicians who frequently file what they called frivolous applications.
As the Tribunal scheduled the hearing for Thursday, the Petitioner, APM, submitted a request to withdraw its case on Tuesday.
