Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks, who confirmed their relationship in 2012 but have been dating since 2011, called time on their relationship with their busy careers putting pressure on their romance but the ‘Talk Dirty’ hit maker, insists he’ll always remain friends with his ex-lover.
Speaking on radio station, KDWB-FM yesterday Thursday, September 25, 2014, Jason confirmed he’d split from Jordin, adding: ‘Everything is cool, man.
It’s not a bad situation. You know, it’s not one of those kinda things.’
However, the break-up came as a complete shock to fans as Jason gushed just over a month ago that the 24-year old Jordin was ‘The One’ and he’s known it ever since he broke one of his vertebrae in 2012.
Asked when he realised she was his match, he said in August: ‘I knew that pretty early on. I felt that when I was in the hospital with my neck injury. I felt different … I felt like I needed her in my world.’
The hunk also went on to say that they had a stable relationship and they were glad they were strong enough to deal with the pressures of the industry.
He said previously: ‘You know, of course we have our problems just like anybody else. But our relationship is a positive one and that’s good for people to see in today’s entertainment industry.’
