Goodluck Jonathan, a former president, has responded to allegations that he received an invitation from the EFCC.
According to Daily Trust, Jonathan denied Femi Kuti’s assertion that the EFCC had invited him due to fraud charges after his time serving as deputy governor of Bayelsa state.
Recently, the artist claimed that the former president had visited the anti-graft organization as a guest, but the former president denied this in a statement.
When Wealth Dickson Ominabo, the former president’s media officer, refuted the assertion in a statement on Friday, June 16, the Daily Independent article stated that Kuti had been duped by certain troublemakers who circulate false information.
He stressed that the anti-graft agency gave Jonathan a clean bill at the time in question.
