Nollywood actor Jigan Baba Oja has fired back at controversial social media critic Verydarkman, following claims that he is part of a secret WhatsApp group allegedly working against the fight for justice for late singer Mohbad.
The drama started after Verydarkman accused actress Iyabo Ojo of leading a WhatsApp group set up to derail ongoing efforts to seek justice for Mohbad, alleging that several celebrities, including Jigan, were members.
Reacting to the backlash, Jigan went live on TikTok, expressing his displeasure and firmly rejecting demands to release any alleged chat history from the supposed group.
He said:
“If you like, listen to my explanation, so fine. Do I even owe you an explanation? No! As long as my conscience is so pure; that’s what matters.”
Later on Instagram, the actor seemingly threw more shade at Verydarkman, writing:
“So fast Nigerians ain’t asking for the evidences no more! Something you paid 20m to achieve and you can’t post it no longer! Are we still in the slavery era? Na leg dey pain me not my brain! We shall see to the end of this! Thank you Allah, Olujo Mimo! 🙏.”
