Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, has shared his thoughts on relationships, admitting he once expected to settle down at a younger age and never imagined being single at 37.
Speaking in an interview with Graham Bensinger, the “Don’t Wanna Go Home” crooner explained that his life experiences have significantly reshaped his views on marriage.
He revealed that witnessing numerous breakups and tense situations between couples has made him more cautious about commitment.
“I thought I was going to marry a lot of the girls I dated. Never in a million years I thought that I would be 37 and single.
“However, I have seen too much. I have seen too much in my life. You could imagine the things that I have seen; married women leaving their spouses on the spot, leaving their men in the club. I have seen everything under the sun,” he expressed.
Derulo was previously in a high-profile relationship with Jordin Sparks, which lasted three years before ending in September 2014.
In 2021, he welcomed a son with his then-partner Jena Frumes, but the relationship ended just five months after their child was born.
