Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has been showered with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities after unveiling the renovation of her business, which was destroyed by fire in July.
Back in July, her office went up in flames, a moment she captured in a video shared online. Despite the devastation, she expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for helping salvage part of the property.
Most importantly, she thanked God for preserving lives, emphasizing that though the devil tried her, divine mercy prevailed.
On Saturday evening, the actress posted a video on Instagram showing her refurbished business, captioning it joyfully: “Thank you Lord, to you be all the glory.”
The controversy after the fire
The fire incident stirred public reactions, as some men in Lagos took to the streets chanting curses against her in connection with the late singer Mohbad’s death.
Responding to the matter, Iyabo clarified that she never held anyone personally responsible for Mohbad’s passing. She lamented that, for years, certain individuals had wished her dead, called for the destruction of her business, and even targeted her children—all without any action from the authorities.
Love and support from fans
Amidst these challenges, Iyabo continues to receive overwhelming support. Her close friend, actress Lola Alao, praised her as a generous and kind-hearted person who often puts others first.
