Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has filed a formal petition to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, accusing officers of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCC) and social media critic VeryDarkMan of misconduct.
The petition, submitted through her lawyers, The Maverick Forte Legal, on July 29, 2025, alleges that police officers breached professional protocols during her interrogation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
According to the document, during her questioning, VeryDarkMan who is a civilian and a defendant in another case where Ojo is a witness was improperly granted access to the interrogation room. The petition further claims that CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche allowed this access due to an alleged inappropriate relationship with VeryDarkMan, who later leaked private details of the session online.
Iyabo Ojo has since stated she will no longer attend any further interrogations in Abuja, calling for the case to be moved to Lagos for a fair and impartial investigation, free from bias or compromised procedures.
NAIJALOG recalls that Ojo was earlier invited by the police after she publicly called out Naira Marley over his alleged role in the controversial death of singer Mohbad.
