Reality star Vee has expressed that she and her former partner Neo would likely have remained friends if they had chosen to go their separate ways after the conclusion of the 2020 lockdown season of the Big Brother Naija show.
Vee admitted to harboring feelings for Neo from the moment he entered the show, taking a chance on their relationship. However, she suggested that it might have been more straightforward for both of them if they had parted ways after the show, considering the challenges and public scrutiny they faced. Despite this, Vee explained that the unique experiences of the show and the pressure they encountered made Neo the only person she could truly connect with.
“In my honest opinion, I feel it would have been better if, after leaving the house, we had gone our separate ways. It would have been easier for both of us. However, because of the experiences, lockdown, one of the biggest seasons, which came with a lot of social pressure, insults, and criticism, he was the only person I could relate to,” she stated.
Vee went on to clarify that they might have still been friends if they had chosen a different path. She also mentioned her reluctance to engage in public relationships again, emphasizing the public’s tendency to quickly become attached and perceive celebrities as flawless individuals. Despite this, she indicated that her perspective on relationships probably wouldn’t have changed.
Vee said, “Maybe we’d still be friends. Maybe a lot of things would’ve been different. Maybe the way I see relationships would be different, I now don’t want to be in a public relationship again because I know how the public gets attached to things so easily and they see celebrities as people that do not make mistakes.”
