President Muhammadu Buhari is above financial controversy, according to Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesman, on Tuesday, May 16.
Buhari, according to the presidential spokesperson, does not have any bank accounts containing corrupt funds.
Shehu stated this on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ show, stressing that his principal has done well in the battle against corruption.
Furthermore, Shehu stated that Buhari does not operate any accounts with cash taken from the government and does not fear controversy or punishment after leaving office for doing so, according to The Punch report.
He said,
“The President is still what he is; he is still above board.”
