A convicted child molester is accused of sending a threatening letter to President Barack Obama — albeit to the wrong address.
Federal prosecutors in Pittsburgh say 34-year-old Joseph Savage mailed the letter from the Fayette County Prison while he was awaiting trial in October 2012.
The letter was sent to 1400 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. The White House is actually located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Savage is scheduled to appear Monday before a federal magistrate in Pittsburgh on the threat charges,however,the mixup in the address is very suspicious and arises cause for alarm.
The content of the letter was not disclosed but is being taking seriously.
Mr. Savage is already serving 12½ to 25 years in state prison on the molestation charges yet they are willing to take up this case further to know what exactly his motives were.
Could it be an empty threat? Or Is Mr. Obama in trouble?
