The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation center for the Edo State governorship election has resumed after a break of over three hours.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, who is also the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, called for the recess at 2:19 pm after declaring the results for 16 local government areas.
Collation resumed around 5:15 pm, with APC securing victory in Oredo LGA. APC received 30,780 votes, while PDP garnered 24,938, and LP secured 5,389 votes.

No results were canceled from any polling unit.
With the announcement of the Oredo LGA results, only one local government area remains to be declared.
APC’s candidate, Monday Okpebholo, continues to lead over PDP’s Asue Ighodalo, winning in 11 out of the 17 LGAs declared, while Ighodalo has secured victory in 6 LGAs.
