The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission says elections will not hold as earlier scheduled on February 14 and February 28 due to security concerns.
Attairu Jega, INEC Chairman revealed this moments ago that all service chiefs and head of security agencies advised against conducting the elections in February.
He also hinged the shift in polling datse on the need to safe guard the lives of INEC’s staff and voters.
Presidential and federal legislative elections will now hold on March 28, while governorship and state assembly elections will hold on March 28
