Chukwuma Soludo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has officially won the 2025 [Anambra governorship election], maintaining a massive lead across the entire state.
Figures released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) show that Soludo secured over 422,664 votes, while his closest opponent, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the APC, recorded 99,445 votes. The ADC followed with 8,208 votes, and the PDP finished with 1,401 votes.
The results clearly demonstrate APGA’s continued dominance in Anambra, with Soludo leading in all 21 local government areas [and securing the governorship on his second attempt.]
The announcement was made by the State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, after the final collation at INEC’s headquarters in Awka.
INEC also revealed that more than 99% of the polling results were uploaded to the IREV portal, allowing Nigerians to monitor the election outcome in real time.
This victory is not only a milestone for Soludo, but also a reaffirmation of APGA’s strong political presence in the state. For many voters, it signals a continuation of the party’s governance style and its policies in Anambra.
