In a shocking incident, an Indian man identified as Gurumurthy has reportedly murdered his wife, Madhavi, and allegedly cooked parts of her body in a pressure cooker.
Authorities revealed on Wednesday that the suspect confessed to the crime, also admitting to disposing of her remains at various locations.
However, police stated that they are still investigating the claims made by the 45-year-old former serviceman, as no body parts of the victim, P. Venkata Madhavi, have been recovered so far.
Gurumurthy was employed as a security guard at the Defence Research and Development Organisation facility in Kanchan Bagh. His wife, Madhavi, was reported missing on January 16 from Hyderabad’s Meerpet area. The couple had been married for 13 years and shared two children.
Initially, Gurumurthy attempted to mislead the authorities by joining his in-laws in filing a missing person report on January 18. He claimed that Madhavi had stormed out of their home following an argument and never returned.
As the investigation progressed and suspicion grew, police interrogated him further, leading to his alleged confession. Officials disclosed that the couple had been experiencing frequent disputes in the days leading up to the tragic event.
