Though no one has been arrested in connection with the destruction of billboards across the state, our correspondent learned that the trend has sparked debate among political parties and candidates across the state.

According to the DAILY POST, there are currently 33 constitutionally recognized local government areas distributed across five geopolitical zones.

The zones include Ibadan, which has 11 local government areas, Oke-Ogun, which has 10 local government areas, Ogbomoso, which has five local government areas, Oyo, which has four, and Ibarapa, which has three.

At the state and national levels, eighteen political parties are vying for various positions.

According to a DAILY POST investigation, most of these political parties and their candidates have had their fair share of billboard destruction and have either witnessed or recorded one incident or another.
