British rapper Skepta has voiced his concern after controversial Nigerian singer Portable took aim at another former associate. Known for his habit of calling out past collaborators and supporters, Portable recently attacked renowned rapper and music executive Olamide, ridiculing him over his alleged fallout with his ex-signee, Asake.
In his critique, Portable claimed that Olamide only offered him a verse on the remix of his song “Zazu” rather than extending a record label deal. He further accused Olamide of “snatching” his producer, dancer, and promoter away from him.
The drama quickly raised red flags among fans, who worried about Skepta—especially since the UK rapper had previously featured Portable on his track “Tony Montana” last year. This connection led to Skepta trending on X (formerly Twitter).
Skepta later posted a tweet asking, “Why am I trending? Lol.” When a fan commented, “I think you know why,” Skepta replied, “I’ve just seen Portable dragging somebody again. Apparently, I’m next. We dey wait lol.”
