Super Eagles and Villarreal Ikechukwu Uche has call for support for the Super Eagles at the World Cup. It seems the in-form striker that has netted 12 league goals in 28 appearances for the Madrigal club has got over his surprise exclusion from Coach Steven Keshi’s provisional 30-man squad.

In a reaction by Uche with his twitter handle @Ikeuche9, he wrote: “I wish my colleagues all the best in Brazil. To the fans, I’d like to thank you for your support. Let’s get behind the Eagles in Brazil”.

Despite being omitted from the squad he says he habours no bad feelings towards Coach Keshi. In his reaction he told BBC Sport, “I have never had bad words towards the national coach”.

His omission was connected with statements credited to Coach Keshi in recently where he was quoted to have said: “I don’t think I need a player like that in my team”; referring to the attitude of Uche non-adherance to instruction while playing for Nigeria.
