Ex-housemate of the Big Brother Naija reality tv show, Ifu Ennada has recently spoken about her struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts.

Yesterday, Ifu Ennada told a stunning story about her days growing up. According to her, she was so poor that poverty was her next door neighbour.

She went on to reveal that she was nearly forced into acting child p*rn just to raise money but luckily for her, it didn’t happen.

She expressed gratitude that her life is now changing.

Ifu Ennada was asked about how she was able to come out of depression during an interview with Vanguard Nigeria.

She said in response to the question;

“Do you really come out of it?

“The thing is, at some point, you have to tell yourself this is not the life you want, surround yourself with materials that help to liberate and lift your spirit, and then you cry to God. Most of the issues back then stemmed from the fact that I had lot of dreams and the power to achieve them, but I was crippled financially. Those things made me depressed.

“I had a lot of low moments, struggles, went back to the village, a lot of people were dying… A lot of terrible things were happening to me and it seemed as if there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Also considering the fact that I’m someone who wants to earn what I get. I do not want to stick with a man’s money. I’m not judging anyone who does that, but I’m not that kind of person.

“There were opportunities I had that would have gotten me money, but I just knew that’s not the way I wanted to write my story. A lot of those things got me depressed, but I told myself no more pity-party, no more suicidal thoughts. I started seeing myself as who I could be – someone whose story would inspire millions. Since I got out of the house I’ve done some give-aways. I’ve gotten sewing machines for some young fashion entrepreneurs, as well as equip them with money. There are others who have only heard my story and are motivated”.
