Veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has expressed her wish to leave a legacy in the form of a statue. During an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM’s Urban Blend show, she shared her desire for a statue that would inspire future generations and serve as a reminder of her contributions to the industry. Although she emphasized that she isn’t demanding this recognition, she would be appreciative if it were to happen.
In her words:
“Yes! I think there should be my statue there for my legacy to be in the minds of the little ones who are coming because I am even in their books.”
“If something like that could be erected in my honor, it will be a nice thing. I am not forcing anybody to do it but if it is done, fine.”
