Former Swedish striker and Manchester United man, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, said he will win the English Premier League title with the club after a difficult start to his career at Old Trafford.
The former Paris Saint-Germain striker signed for United on a free transfer last summer and has so far endured a tough time in front of goal with wildly inconsistent displays.
The striker has scored just three goals in the last two months with Jose Mourinho’s team reflecting his roller-coaster start.
The Red Devils are already eight points adrift of league leaders, Liverpool after just 11 matches, but the Swede insisted, “I will win it,” when referring to the title.
He told United official website, “Ooooh it would be fantastic.
“If I could win the Premier League, the next day I would stop playing football… almost!
“We have been a little bit unlucky in certain games, but we believe and when you believe it will come.”
“Hopefully I can win it and I will win it.”
He added the every trophy has its own story, having been crowned champion in almost all the countries he had played in, Ibrahimovic found it difficult to say which trophy in his cabinet is his favourite.
According to him, “Every medal has its story.
“It’s difficult to say [which is his favourite] because I have one from every country I went to.
“I have played at other massive clubs, every club is massive and if it was not massive it became massive when I came!
“Everything we do here is huge, it’s not local, it’s global, it’s to reach out worldwide.”
