Rema, a young music star, has revealed that he has dropped his UNILAG admission and is now solely focused on his music.
You may recall that the 22-year-old musician revealed last year that he got into the University of Lagos to fulfill his mother’s wish for him to finish his education.
However, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike for seven months a month after his admission.
The singer, who never returned to the institution to begin his education, has finally spoken out about his reasons for not doing so.
In a recent interview with Count Down Radio’s Caucasian host, he revealed that he had decided to drop out because the university was on strike.
This surprised the white host, who had apparently never heard of a university strike.
Rema went on to say that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to balance school and touring, so he had to drop out of school and devote his full attention to his music career.
