Spanish journalist Manuel Esteban Manolete says Angel Di Maria regrets joining Manchester United.
Manolete, who works for Spanish newspaper AS, claims Di Maria hasn’t bought into Louis van Gaal’s ideas since moving to Old Trafford.United paid £60m to lure Di Maria away from Real Madrid but he’s allegedly unhappy with certain aspects of Old Trafford life.The claims were made by Manolete while speaking on Spanish television channel La Goleada.
He has made bold transfer shouts in the past, this week claiming Liverpool want to strike a £44m deal to land Atletico Madrid star Koke.Manolete’s claims appear to have been rejected by Antonio Valencia, who insists there’s a positive mood at Old Trafford.He said: “Angel, Rojo and Falcao are terrific: they’ve all settled quickly into the group and I think they’re all really enjoying life here said.
“We’ve got a top bunch of lads. We all get along really well – [the atmosphere] is great but it’s always been great here.”
