The conflict between Nigerian street-hop artist Portable and his baby mama, Ashabi Simple, has escalated further, with the singer now claiming that the actress has taken legal action against him.
“I Can Never Love You Again”
In a fiery rant on his Instagram story, the singer, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, expressed shock and anger at being sued over what he termed a mere “fight.” He vehemently stated that any affection he once held for her has been completely extinguished and clarified that, since they were never legally married, his only obligation is financial support for their offspring.
He declared:
“I am no longer interested in you and I can never love you again even if a knife is put on my neck. I didn’t marry you legally, so why are you taking me to court because we had a fight?
The only thing I owe you now is food money for the children. I am done with you. In future, you will tell your children that you took their dad to court,”
The “Forced” Marriage Attempt
Portable went on to verbally attack the actress, describing her as “shameless” for becoming pregnant by a married man. He also recounted a dramatic past incident where he allegedly fled a religious ceremony to avoid being tricked into marriage. He claimed that what was supposed to be a naming ceremony was surreptitiously being converted into a wedding (Nikkah), forcing him to run out of the mosque.
He recalled:
“I have never seen a woman forcing a man into marriage. I ran out of the mosque when the naming was about to be turned into Nikkah,”
Allegations of Violence
This latest outburst follows a severe public feud where Ashabi Simple accused the singer of physically assaulting her and attempting to end her life, a claim that has evidently led to the current legal friction.
