Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has retracted her earlier statement, clarifying that she did not engage in body-shaming against relationship expert Blessing CEO. Blessing CEO gained attention for showcasing her well-toned physique in a crochet bikini, adorned with an abdominal tattoo featuring verses from Matthew 11:12 and Proverbs 31.
Previously, Sarah Martins, along with others like Nkechi Blessing, criticized Blessing CEO for the bikini photos, with Sarah even body-shaming her in a blog comment. This led to Blessing CEO blocking Sarah on Instagram.
In response, Sarah criticized Blessing CEO for the block and highlighted the negative comments from the latter’s fans, whom she referred to as “Oloshos.” Sarah then posted her own bikini photos in what seemed like a challenge, praising her own tattoos as elegant and sexy compared to Blessing CEO’s perceived tacky ones.
However, Sarah later backtracked, asserting that she never body-shamed Blessing CEO, especially considering her status as a mother. She clarified that her criticism was directed at the tattoo, which she found tacky, rather than Blessing CEO’s physical appearance. Sarah admitted that her initial comment was inappropriate but suggested that Blessing CEO might have responded even more strongly.
In her words: “Y’all coming to my page to cap dust. I never body-shamed Blessing CEO! I only made reference to her full book coverage belly tattoo and yes, that her belly tattoo looks tacky! I will never body shame a woman for being a mother! I am a mother too, a clean sexy one at that so shush!
“Maybe I shouldn’t have dropped that comment tho but Blessing would have dropped the same comment or even worse it was someone else! And YES, that her belly tattoo is TACKY! Go to Court!”.
