Nigerian actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, has made a desperate public appeal for assistance after an alleged spiritual attack left him paralyzed and destitute. The distressed actor shared his ordeal on Thursday during an interview with his colleague, Tony Montana.
The Ordeal
Visibly transformed and struggling, Okemesi revealed that he has been absent from the screen for nearly a year due to a severe affliction he described as spiritual in nature. He explained that initial medical treatment at Island Hospital failed as his condition deteriorated, prompting a transfer to an Islamic cleric in Osogbo for traditional intervention.
He recounted:
“It was a spiritual attack. May God protect us from spiritual arrows. I was taken to Island Hospital, and people donated to foot my bills. But we realised it was beyond the hospital when my condition worsened.”
Miraculous Recovery and New Struggles
According to Okemesi, the spiritual treatment yielded immediate results, allowing him to transition from being bedridden to walking with crutches within hours. However, his troubles were far from over. After moving in with his brother, his sibling reportedly faced sudden misfortunes, including an accident and marital crisis, which Okemesi interpreted as a continuation of the attack.
To avoid further burdening his family, he left and is now squatting on church premises.
He pleaded:
“I don’t have a place to sleep, I don’t have anything. In fact, it’s difficult to feed. My fans, you are the only thing left for me. Please, I need your help to get back on my feet, especially with accommodation,”
