Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 contestant Fairme has opened up about the challenging path that led him to the reality show, revealing that he auditioned 9 times before finally securing a spot this season.
Fairme, who is one half of the duo known as The Radicals, expressed his frustration over frequently landing in the bottom four of the weekly rankings, despite his and his partner’s efforts to win over viewers.
During a diary session, Fairme mentioned that fellow housemate Toby Forge suggested he and his partner, Michky, consider altering their personalities to better connect with the audience and improve their chances of survival in the competition.
However, Fairme firmly stated that he refuses to compromise his authenticity for the sake of votes.
“I don’t understand why the public isn’t connecting with us. I auditioned nine times to finally get here.”
“Toby Forge told me and Michky to figure out why we’re stuck in the bottom four and suggested we try something different. But I won’t pretend to be someone I’m not,” Fairme asserted.
