“I am alive and well” – Gambian President-elect, Adama Barrow, denounces reports of his assassination

Reports were rife online this evening that Gambian president-elect, Adama Barrow, was assassinated by suspected loyalists of his rival and incumbent President of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh. Barrow’s media aides tweeted this evening denouncing the rumor. They also shared this photo of Barrow with the UK and US Ambassadors to Gambia earlier today after a meeting.
