Nasboi, a content creator, attributes his comic skills to the influence of seasoned Nollywood comedians such as Charles Inojie, Francis Odega, and Mr Ibu. He revealed in an interview that he not only learned from his peers but also sought advice from experienced performers who had a great impact on his career. Nasboi expressed gratitude to the older comedians for their support regardless of age.
He emphasized that social media played a crucial role in propelling him to stardom. Nasboi pointed out that it is easy to showcase one’s talent and earn a living online, making social media a useful tool for launching acting and directing careers. Nasboi also highlighted the educational and economic benefits of social media, encouraging budding stars to make use of it.
“Social media has helped my career in several ways. I am sure many people would not have known me if not for social media. Going online to showcase myself is easy. All I just need to do is act and make money online. It is now easy to make money online, as long as one has the talent. Social media helped to kick-start my career in directing, acting and promoting my content without disturbing everyone. Forget about the negativity it (social media) brings, one can easily learn a lot and make money from it,” Nasboi added.
