Doyin David, a well-known BBNaija star, recently discussed the difficult aftermath of a controversial interview that resulted in a company terminating her contract and requesting a refund of her endorsement fee.
During her appearance on the CreativiTEA podcast hosted by Lynda, the reality star recounted the incident.
She explained that a brand, for which she was an ambassador, decided to end their association with her after she made statements in an interview that did not align with the brand’s image.
In her own words,
Doyin also reflected on her experience on Big Brother Naija, admitting that her portrayal during the ‘Level Up’ edition in 2022 did not reflect her true personality.
She admitted to projecting a persona that was more mature and peace-loving than her authentic self, describing herself as someone who is not averse to confrontation.
“My first run wasn’t my best run, to be honest. I have been on the show twice, and I came out of the show, and I hated it. I was fake. I came out with the narrative that Doyin is too mature. She is always trying to talk things out; that’s not really me. In real life, I fight,” Doyin added.
