An eight year old boy has in a shocking incident shot his five-year-old sister dead after they were left home alone by their mother with a loaded gun.
According to TheSunUK, the police reports that the little girl identified as Serenity Allen, was shot dead when her sibling who is aged eight fired a single round from a gun while they were inside their apartment.
The mother of the children had left them at home on the fateful day, to go to a store when the shooting happened.
The police have however ruled the killing of the girl as an accident on the part of the boy and negligence of the parent.
The sad incident happened on Saturday after the boyfriend of their mother was arrested on weapons charges on Monday over the incident. On Sunday, her boyfriend Maurice Mobley, 34, was arrested by police after he turned himself in.
Mobley was then charged with possession of a firearm. The police believed he was the person who brought the gun into the family’s house.
Mobley also has a lengthy criminal record where he was ordered to be held on $200,000 bond before his court appearance.
