A 25 year old lady Mary Haruna has been sentenced to four months in prison for committing adultery against her husband.
According to the police prosecutor, Modupe Musa, Haruna played a fast one on her husband, Baba Sabo, when she brought one Ebenezer Kure, 35, into their matrimonial home and had sex with him on February 14 at Abattior, Abaji, Abuja.
Ebenezer Kure and Haruna were charged with trespass and adultery. But when the charge was read to them, Haruna pleaded ‘guilty’, while Kure pleaded ‘not guilty.’
In his verdict on the matter, the Judge, Babaginda Hassan, consequently sentenced Haruna to four months imprisonment with an option of N20, 000 fine; and ordered that Kure, a resident of Gada Buke, Nassarawa, be remanded in prison till March 21 for continuation of hearing.
