HON. DABIRI AND OTHERS SYMPATHISE WITH AYANGBUREN’S FAMILY

The Chairman House Committee on Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa and some eminent indigenes of Ikorodu, yesterday sent their condolences to the family of the paramount ruler of Ikorodu, the Ayangburen, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi (Oguntade II).

Dabiri in a statement expressed her shock over the demise of the late oba, “I received the news of the death of our father the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi with a great deal of shock and sadness”.

“Oba Oyefusi was not only a great father figure to us all but he also lived a life full of love and kindness to all who came across him”.

Speaking on the role of the late oba, Dabiri said that “His reign witnessed tremendous giant strides in Ikorodu. I personally will miss his words of wisdom, inspiration, care and support to me and my family”.

Among the other dignitaries includes the Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, Lateef Ibirogba, Aremo Taiwo Alimi, Chief Olatunji Oyetayo, Baale of Eyitan, Chief Odubote, Oke Baale of Magodo, Chief Orepitan, Ajagun Baale of Ebanlo and Chief A.K Solomon Baale of Majidun/Awori.
The Oba died in London on Saturday at the age of 83 after months of battling ill-health.
