He shot to fame for his role as troubled child Kevin McCallister in the Home Alone series back in 1990.
But after 28 years commanding the Hollywood spotlight, Macaulay Culkin has decided to call it quits and retire at the age of 35.
The former child star revealed he has no plans to return to film or TV in a new interview with New York Magazine.
Talking candidly, Macaulay, 35, said: ‘I’m a man in his mid-30s who’s essentially retired.
‘I kind of go where the wind takes me a little bit,’ before adding he fills his days painting, writing and ‘whatevering’.
Although he’s maintained a low-profile in recent years, he is still constantly recognised while out and about and for that reason, chooses to avoid being seen in daylight by avoiding it completely.
