Roy Hudgson, the England manager has released his 23-man squad amidst some very tough decisions.The manager has placed on standby Andy Carroll the West Ham United striker, also missing out of the list are Manchester United Michael Carrick due to poor showing with his team this season, Kyle Walker due to pelvic injury and expectedly Ashley Cole with Luke Shaw considered ahead of him in the left-back position.
Other players on standby aside Carrick and Carroll include: Jermain Defoe, Tom Cleverly, John Ruddy, Jon Flanagan and John Stones. Despite injury worries to the duo of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere, they made 23-man list.
Other players not considered even for the standby list are Adam Johnson and Ashley Cole, James Milner is favoured ahead of the duo. In the list is also a three capped player; Adam Lallana who has a fine season with Sunderland.
