Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially begun her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, using 250 bags of rice. The record-breaking cook, who first gained global fame in 2023 for achieving the longest cooking marathon, kicked off the challenge at Eko Hotels, Lagos, in front of an excited crowd of fans and supporters.

Before starting, Hilda and her mother shared a heartfelt moment of prayer, asking for strength, protection, and endurance, which touched the audience and drew emotional cheers. Many praised her mother as a strong source of inspiration in her journey.

Sharing an update, Hilda wrote: “Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is spotless! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. Soon, this same pot will hold thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof, history in the making.”
